Ogul Kha

"We all have our own ways of surviving in life."

Ogul, of the Kha tribe, has always found herself curious, taking after her parents' interest in other cultures outside of the Steppe. Notably raised to be curious and question, it has instilled within her a balance - understanding the need to fight while avoiding the desire and passion for fighting that many tribes of the Steppe thrive upon. Perhaps it is because of this that her exploration eventually led to her departing from the tribe, particularly after an adventuring party from lands beyond their knowledge won victory for the Mol.

As curiosity and interest drawn her further from home, she considered it a mission of sorts to return home not only with knowledge of these Eorzeans but with proof that the people of Eorzea are worthy of being accepted, that the fight they fought in foreign lands was not a wasted effort by the Mol. Prepared to make the journey, she sailed west, to the distant land...

In time, she would come to find herself exploring and wandering the land of Eorzea, experiencing the cultures and environments this vast landscape had to offer to an explorer like herself. Proving herself capable in defending and sustaining herself, she eventually came to the understanding that she would do better to learn from other people, to work with others and become drawn into the culture that way. In doing so, she found herself a company, and have shown loyalty ever since.

Personality

"Better to learn than live in ignorance to truth."

Being an approachable and considerate person with a very learned background, Ogul is far from a simple brute. Able to think, evaluate and perceive the world around her with a critical eye, she is wise beyond her years to the world around her, even if her experiences are often skimming and varied. She is also very mellow, complimented by her years of exploration and understanding of many cultures outside of her own, giving her a more reasoned approach to conflict and interacting with others, which often results in her friendly, respectable personality.

She is still every bit a Xaela, however: Strong-willed and rife with determination, she will see a job done and a task fulfilled, even if she has to place herself within the line of fire to complete it. She also seeks to be an inspiration to others, encouraging them to overcome and surpass their limits, as she would seek to surpass and overcome her own, wanting and eager to see the potential in every person she comes across. This desire to become a better person than the person the day before is what pushes her forward, as well as those standing along her side, and she has yet to find someone whom she falls behind of to give her higher reaches to push for.

Combat & Skills

"...alright, now you've gone and done it..."

One defining aspect of Ogul, in spite of her mindset to conflict, is that once she is embracing the fight, she will let it overcome her. And Ogul has increasingly discovered that the more she lets go, the less she restrains herself, the more destructive she becomes, and her treasured great weapon is the basis for most of her destructive might once she has become enraged. She operates at her best in certain tasks when it has reached the point of frustration for her, and there are few that can stand in the way of her destructive wake once she begins to get going.

Not that she lacks in other training - she has held a katana in the past, and can utilise this into a one-handed/two-handed blend with her combined experiences, but it is without a doubt a great weapon that feels more comfortable in her grasp. As a proficient hunter in her own right, she has taken a favourable approach to challenging beasts and their various kinds over more humanoid forms, finding a lack of interest in fighting others after her experiences back home in the Steppe.  Not that this will stop her if one ever seeks to challenge her life, for there are few others that you would want to anger less.
